Scrabble is another spelling game but it a board game. This a game everybody picks 7 letters and with though's 7 letters you have to make a word with them. On each letter there is a number, this number represents the score that you add up with the other letter of the word you use. There is also special squares on the board that can get you more points. The special tiles on the board, depends on what edition of the game you play.
The traditional edition has, double words score (where you double the score of the word,for example, if you have made a 8 word score then it would be 16 points), triple word score (where you triple the score of the word,for example, if you have made a 8 word score then it would be 24 points), double letter score (where you double the score of the letter,for example, if you placed a letter down that is worth 1 point then it would be worth 2 points), and there is also triple letter score (where you triple the score of the letter, for example, if you placed a letter down that is worth 1 point then it would be worth 3 points)
Each letter has a different amount of points on it. The more common letters is a lower amount of points, were the rarer letters has a higher amount of points. If you want a challenge, try getting more people to play the game with you. The max of people that can play Scrabble is four people and the minimum of people that can play is two. Playing Scrabble with you child would be a great learning experience for them.
